One of the tools to achieve viral hepatitis elimination by 2030 is by getting tested to know your status. Here is another intervention brought to you by RAHGI in collaboration with our sponsors and partners to get you to know your status and take necessary steps thereafter.
Let’s look through some of the reasons you don’t want to miss this opportunity 👇👇👇
Early Treatment: Knowing your Hepatitis B or C status allows for timely medical intervention, reducing the risk of liver damage and complications like cirrhosis or liver cancer.
Prevent Transmission: Awareness of your status helps prevent the spread of the virus to others through informed precautions and lifestyle changes.
Informed Health Choices: Knowing your status empowers you to make proactive health decisions, such as vaccinations (for Hepatitis B) or lifestyle adjustments to support liver health.

Young people living with hepatitis and/or HIV worldwide experience many of the same issues within the hepatitis and HIV responses. To foster meaningful conversations and gather insights from young people living with hepatitis and/or HIV, the World Hepatitis Alliance (WHA) and Y+ Global have partnered to organise a joint webinar. The event will explore the gaps, challenges and solutions for young people living with hepatitis and/or HIV and share stories of young people leading the change in their local communities. Following the webinar, WHA and Y+ Global will take the findings from the discussion to develop new advocacy materials specifically for young people.

Empowering our future health advocates! 🌟 The Anti-Hepatitis Club is officially launched at Living Rock Adademy, rural community edition. Together, we’re spreading awareness, breaking stigmas, and fostering a healthier tomorrow. 💙🩺 #CommunityHealth, #HepatitisPrevention, #HealthAdvocacy

Education is our most potent tool in combating hepatitis, a silent but significant threat to public health. Yet its a disease often overlooked or misunderstood. Hence the establishment of the Anti-hepatitis Club, a youth-led initiative that serves as a platform for advocacy. By coming together, we amplify our voices and advocate for policies and initiatives that support hepatitis elimination. By educating young people about hepatitis, we are investing in a generation that understands the importance of prevention and carries this knowledge into adulthood, ensuring a sustained effort against the disease. In addition, this initiative can change the social stigma associated with hepatitis. By openly discussing this disease, they help break down barriers, encourage people to seek testing and treatment and support them without fear of judgement

Sharing with fellow colleagues from around the world at the WHA members pre-meeting of the AHS on the topic I titled ‘Youth Involvement in our advocacy drive’. It was indeed a rare privilege and I am grateful to God for such an opportunity. Always a pleasure to share my experience and work anytime any day.
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to the World Hepatitis Alliance for sponsoring my trip to attend the African Hepatitis Summit (AHS). Your support made it possible for me to participate in this enlightening event, where I gained valuable insights and connected with professionals from around the world.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the organizers of the program for their meticulous planning and efforts in making the AHS a resounding success. The knowledge and experiences shared during the summit were invaluable and will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors in the field of hepatitis advocacy.
Once again, thank you for your generous support, and I am truly appreciative of this opportunity.
